An animation film with moderate level content. In many places it took cues from 'Kung Fu Panda' and heavily influenced by DreamWorks effects. But the film never ceases to amaze me with its potential. In 2019 there will be few more animation films and this one rings the bell first. When big movies are failing 😭 like never before and small projects are making good businesses, it seems Indian film renaissance is not far away.
Coming to the film, Chhota Bheem was a dream project of the animator, entrepreneur and director Rajiv Chilaka. He started his own animation studio in January 2001 - Green Gold Animation Pvt Ltd. Since then Chhota Bheem was growing in the heart ❤️ of children as tv series. But with the release of this full fledged movie the franchise achieved a lightning pace.
As the series is there for several years, there is no doubt that this story gets good maturity over time. With all those crappy stories around, I would give it 4.5/5. Be like a child to enjoy this one. It is as relaxing as Kung Fu Panda series.
Animation and voice over
No doubt the animators from Green Gold are top notch in India. Very beautifully rigged characters, almost flawless voice over, natural motions - all these make this movie very intriguing. Sonal Kaushal, Rupa Bhimani, Jigna Bharadhwaj joined the movie from the original tv series to provide voice of Chhota Bheem, Chhutki, and Dholu and Bholu respectively.
Music and Background scores are also fine. Though I personally think in some places it could be better. Keeping in mind that animation films always need much more efforts in sound effects, I hope Green Gold will improve this part in their future movies. 👍
Lastly, it's not that easy to find a film for children in this country. I am happy that Rajiv Chilaka and his Green Gold Animation is providing kids something which can still guarantee purity from inside. So, if you haven't watch this one yet, go with your junior and enjoy an evening like you haven't grown yet. 💕
